1st Grade

Welcome 1st Grade!  My name is Mrs. Valerie Edberg.  I have been with the New Prague District since 1992.  I started my career as a Special Education Teacher.  I have been teaching 1st or 2nd Grade since 1998.  

I graduated from St. Catherine's University with a degree in Elementary Education.  I received my Masters Degree from Minnesota State University.

My husbands name is Joe.  We have two children: Jack and Hannah.  We are officially "empty nesters", so I have experienced a lot of what you may be going through with your children during grades preK-12.  Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or need help.
